Yesterday PartA Tab - Rhythm Chords:

This is another one of my all time favorites by the Beatles. Yesterday was first released in 1965 and was a great hit for them, the chords and the way you play them are a bit different, but I think I captured it quite accurately. This song is relatively simple but you can do a lot with the melody and chord arrangements..

This arrangement is in the key of C, but the original was recorded in the key of F, which you can capo up to the 5th fret, play it in C and be in the key of F major.

Let it Be - The BeatlesThis remaster CD has some more of the the great Beatles songs included, such as Help, Yesterday, Ticket to Ride and many more.

Help!; The Night Before; You've Got To Hide Your Love Away; I Need You; Another Girl ; You're Going To Lose That Girl; Ticket to Ride; Act Naturally; It's Only Love; You Like Me Too Much; Tell Me What You See; I`ve Just Seen a Face; Yesterday; Dizzy Miss Lizzy; Help! Documentary

Rhythm Chords Tab:

Yesterday Chords Tab: This is a great song to play a very 'tight' chord pattern. For the most part the bass notes are played with the right hand thumb "p" and the chords are all three note chords that are played with the i, m, and a fingers (index, middle, ring fingers). These chords can be played on either a classical guitar or fingerstyle acoustic guitar. If you choose you can also play the chords with a flatpick, although you would probably use a different arrangment for this.

Pay close attention to the running bass notes as they are very important for the sound to be attained. They will also harmonize very nicely with the lead notes of the song.

PartA Tab:

Yesterday PartA Tab: This is the first part of the song Yesterday. It is tabbed out for fingerstyle acoustic guitar or classial guitar. This would be a nice intermediate version for you to start with as it is played at a liesurely pace and there is not any syncopation in the piece. Carefully watch the rhythm chords above the notation and follow the chord forms and as almost always, let the notes ring through each other.

PartB Tab:

Yesterday PartB Tab: The second part of the song or the B part is definitely a bit harder than the A part. This is mostly due to the chord forms that are played in the upper positions. Just take it slow and it will come. Play slow and smooth and gradually increase your speed.

Memorize Your Ultimate Guitar Tab:

Make sure to memorize your songs. What is the easiest way to do this? Unless you have perfect pitch, you will have to learn one section or measure at a time. Once you can play flawlessly move on to the next measure and add it to what you have memorized. Continue this and make sure you can play the first half of the song, including the second ending.

Once you have the first half memorized, move on to the second half, doing the same thing with the second half of the song.
