Gonna Lay Down My Old Guitar is about as classic Norman Blake guitar playing as you can get. Norman's style comes shining through on his breaks and I have captured many of the nuances of his playing style in this transcription. He loves to intermingle fabulous lead and rhythm chords together and as you will see in this TAB, it comes off very nicely. Have fun with this one.
There are a lot of treasures on this CD. It is a gold mine of teaching material to play like Norman Blake and Tony Rice. You even get a good dose of Norman's Mandolin in some of the songs. Be sure to add Blake and Rice to your bluegrass collection
