There are a variety of color combinations available in his line and you will certainly be able to find one that suits your personal aesthetic tastes.
Tuning machines operate smoothly and effortlessly for easy dead-on tuning and string changes.
I would prefer a solid Ebony fingerboard to the Rosewood. Ebony IS available on the upper priced models and as well worth the extra money to get it.
The Gibson Les Paul Studio is literally the perfect guitar for any type of music you play. The only exception would be fingerstyle picking, which is better handles by the big semi-hollow body guitars. The Humbuckers are fantastic and I would expect nothing less from pickups of this quality.
The Gibson Les Paul Studio plays good as delivered. If your preference is lower action, adjustment with the Tune-O-matic bridge is a cinch. As I like very low action, I would lower the strings at the nut just a bit. See my article on Action Adjustment for directions to do this easily and professionally.
The Gibson Les Paul Studio is quite durable. From the solid carved wood body construction the to trussed neck this guitar will take a lot of abuse. Be cautious of all the guitar edges however as there is nothing to protect the finished edges other than the finish itself. So a hard bang on a music stand, wood chair or able and you will have a unsightly chipped edge.

The Gibson Les Paul Studio if a great lower-priced option added this renowned Gibson line. Fantastic fit and finish will allow you to "show-off" this beauty in any music genre.
From the carved maple top to the mahogany back, this guitar is a great work of art. Everything is neat and clean with very little frills. Be careful with the edges of the body though as they are not protected by anything other than the finish.
The Gibson Les Paul Studio Humbucker pickups perform flawlessly and gives this guitar amazing sound and versatility. The sound is clean and great for jazz and mellow rock and very able to handle those Les Paul licks!
If you are a serious music student or professional guitarist, this guitar will more than meet anything you want to tackle. I give the Gibson Les Paul Studio very high marks.
